This Cookie Policy explains how MealPlanList uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and related services.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. They help websites remember information such as login state, security checks, preferences, and basic usage context.
MealPlanList uses essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session security, login redirects, locale preference, and service operation. The planner itself can be used without an account and stores guest planner data in browser local storage rather than an authentication cookie.
Public shopping links do not make a visitor a logged-in user. A guest snapshot stores the fixed list in the URL fragment. A live-link token identifies one shared shopping list, and anyone with a valid active token can view that list and update allowed item statuses.
MealPlanList may use preference cookies to remember settings such as language, theme, or interface state.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity help us understand aggregate site usage and product performance. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, they load only after you select Accept. Selecting Reject prevents them from loading. In other countries, they load normally without a banner. MealPlanList does not currently use advertising cookies.
When checkout is used, the payment provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies on provider-hosted pages. Those provider technologies are governed by the provider's own policies.
You can manage or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies can prevent login and account settings from working; clearing local storage removes planner data that has not been synced to an account or exported as a backup.
A first-party cookie records whether Analytics is allowed under the regional rule and, where the banner is shown, your Accept or Reject choice.
We may update this Cookie Policy when the product, providers, or cookie usage changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
