A meal planner with your own recipes

Plan the week with the meals you already cook. Save your usual recipes once, choose where they fit this week, and reuse them next week. Meal Plan List connects those choices to your ingredients and shopping list.

From your recipes to a plan you can reuse

  1. Save your regular recipes

In Manage Recipes, add a recipe name, ingredient quantities, and preparation notes. Save it as a reusable template.

  2. Paste recipe text and review it

You can use Paste to import instead of entering every detail by hand. Check the extracted ingredients, quantities, and item matches before choosing what to save; incomplete or incorrect details need your review.

  3. Keep recipes for future weeks

Saved recipes remain available in your recipe collection. Choose them again when you want to repeat a familiar meal.

  4. Choose days and meal slots

Add recipes from My Recipes to the Weekly Planner. Use the days and meal slots that suit your routine, including weekends, and plan multiple weeks when needed.

  5. Adjust just one planned meal

Edit Meal changes that instance in the plan without rewriting the saved recipe. To change the master recipe, open Manage Recipes and edit it there.

  6. Review the shopping list

Open Shopping to review ingredient requirements, recorded stock, and what still needs buying. Add extra groceries and organise purchases into To Buy, Buy Later, and Purchased.

Keep six favourites and choose a few each week

For example, save chicken pasta, tacos, stir fry, lentil soup, baked potatoes, and an omelette with the ingredients you normally use.

This week, place the pasta on Monday, tacos on Wednesday, and soup on Friday. If you change the vegetables for Friday’s soup, edit that planned meal rather than the saved recipe.

Next week, reuse tacos and pick the stir fry and omelette from the same collection. You do not have to enter those recipes again. Your actual shopping needs depend on the ingredients, quantities, and stock you record.

Who this recipe workflow is for

A good fit if you…

  • Already have regular family meals or a personal recipe collection.
  • Want to choose what to cook yourself rather than have AI decide.
  • Want to repeat recipes without typing them in every week.

Choose another approach if you need…

  • Automatically generated diet plans or fully automated AI meal generation.
  • Calorie or nutrition tracking.
  • Grocery delivery.

Questions about using your own recipes

Do I have to use a supplied recipe collection?

No. The workflow is built around recipes you save yourself. Add the meals you already cook and choose when to use them.

Is pasted recipe text saved automatically?

No. Review the extracted information before saving. Check quantities and ingredient matches rather than assuming every line was recognised correctly.

Will changing a planned meal change my saved recipe?

No. Edit Meal changes only that planned instance. Edit the recipe in Manage Recipes when you want to change the reusable template.

Can I start without an account?

Yes. Core local planning works without an account and saves data in this browser. Plus cloud sync is available for using the same plan across devices.
