Clear, honest answers about how Meal Plan List works and what it is designed to do.
When you assign recipes to your planned days, the app gathers all required ingredients. Untracked items appear on your list automatically, while tracked inventory compares planned use against what’s on hand to recommend only the missing amounts. You can then adjust quantities to whole store packages and split items between To Buy and Buy Later.
Yes. You can configure active planning days to match your routine, whether that means planning Monday to Friday, including weekends, or choosing just 3 or 4 specific cooking nights. You can also plan across multiple weeks.
Yes. Planned meals are instances of your recipes. If you want to double the garlic, swap a vegetable, or increase portions for a dinner party, you can edit that meal directly on the schedule without changing the master recipe in your library.
Any user can generate a free shopping list snapshot to send to a partner or open on a mobile phone at the store. Changes to the snapshot do not sync back to your planner.
No. Meal Plan List is intentionally focused on the core planning and shopping workflow. It does not generate AI recipes, provide calorie or nutrition tracking, connect to grocery delivery services, or support multi-user family accounts yet. You plan with your own recipes, and guest use requires no account or sign-up.
